Christian Laetner

I see that on March 15, Espn is doing a show.

"I Hate Christian Laetner"

This will be fun to watch and I hope they show how truly great of a college player he was.  I am not sure many people deserved the last shot to win a game more than Laetner.

Woods

Since, I trashed Woods and his behavior, while taking up for him with the latest rumors, I thought I would share an amazing stat.

Only Seve at 22 won ten titles on the European tour at younger age than Tigger at 24.  He did this and was never playing there full time.  Rory just won his 10th at 25.

He is third on the all time European win list with 40, Only Seve with 50 and Langer with 42 have more. I am unsure of the number of starts he has had on the Euro tour, but last November it was 121 with 40 wins a wining percentage of over 33% when he teed it up.

Drugs, accusations of cheating and bad behavior toward fans, media and people in general doesn't change the fact that he was greater at his sport than anyone during his time.

PS.
Yes, his current golf problem is mental,  He practices and plays practice rounds that people watch without the drama.
When he grows up and accepts the age and mistakes he has made with his swing and short game,  I expect him to win more tournaments.

I am sick of watching him hit a bad shot and immediately grab a part of his body.
, Phil is playing with a disease that cripples people and Hogan literally would not be cleared to play these days and still competed and won.

Cowboys-Dez and DeMarco

I like the way Dallas is handling the signings with the superstars.

With the rumors of abusive tape being floated about Dez, why sign him to long term right now. If he is not getting suspended, they can continue with the contract negotiations. Without a doubt, I hope they keep Dez long term.

If DeMarco can demand as much money as is being floated from someone else, the Boys have no chance anyway.  All they will do is low ball him and upset the fan base.  I never expected Murray to be back with all of the other needs and cap problems.  I must say that a signing in Indy is intriguing if they can rebuild that terrible offensive line.

Honda Classic

I might as well start with a week in golf that was a black eye for the sport.

  1. Rory- Wow, he comes in with a run of averaging hitting 86% of GIR and seven straight tournaments with no worse than second place.  Golf is a crazy sport, he and his playing partners were terrible.
  2. Reed- Definitely the best American now.  Until he collapsed today with the lead he had the most under par rounds consecutively on the tour. Dude can putt and is so frank in interviews that the prudish golf media doesn't know what to do with him.
  3. Phil- He is putting so poorly, but with the advancement in Technology he stirred it up with his distance.  For the first time ever, he can actually swing hard without the backspin killing him.
  4. Poulter- I don't care for the guy, but he hit 5 balls in the water in the final round and still nearly won. Crazy tournament.
  5. Johnson- Fresh back from his recent break on tour under drug test rumors, he was playing great until being paired with Rory.  He may be the best American in two months.
  6. Woods- Everyone should know that I think he is a terrible example for anyone to mimic outside of his incredible talent,  But, when a journey man pro named Dan Olsen accuses Tigger of failed drug test (“It’s not testosterone, but it’s something else,”)   Then he goes on and says that the reason Tigger never gave fans a golf ball was that he was using an illegal ball.    Crazy!.  The PGA and Woods camp deny all of this.  You know, I absolutely think he used Roids, but this is out of line.  He eventually said that Woods will be the Lance Armstrong of Golf.   I do not want to be correct about this.
