Wow, did the Phillies put the hammer down or what? They went by the Braves like a rocket and don't look now but all 3 of their prime starters are pitching well. They are the best team in either league and if I was a Philly fan I would be extremely disappointed not to win it all with this team. Halladay and Oswalt get a real shot at glory with plenty of offense behind them. Yankees look really vulnerable after Sabathia. The Rangers did not win a game at either NY or Tampa all year.
I've seen several references to moving Hamilton to 1st base next year to protect him from all the injuries. I might do it in order to get 600 at bats from him, but it would truly be a shame because his speed, instincts, and cannon arm all scream center fielder. But, if it's the difference between getting 120 games out of him versus 150, it makes sense. He's reckless and fragile in the outfield, a very bad combination.

Florida-Alabama Week.
My initial thoughts:
Florida is underrated and every bit as physical as Bama.
I expect the Gators to have something special for Saban.
Forget the struggles against the weak sisters, Florida did this the year they won it with Leak and Tebow.
No one without will beat Florida this year except for Bama.
Bama
The boys is Tuscaloosa are special and mean.
Ingram is so smooth that many times I miss his moves that create two or three more yards. The QB is fine.
Defensively, I expect them to be unbeatable by the LSU game.
I actually think the Bama players underrated Arkansas scheme looking forward to the Gators.
First thought. Upset time.
Logically it makes no sense though.
Bama wins by 8 at home.

Packers
I could never figure out why they lost in Arizona last year. Maybe we are getting insight into the problem in Green Bay. They are a bit of a choking team.
Composure was the word Jennings used to describe the debacle last night.
I agree, they folded up and played tight when they were the favorite.
I love the coach, but like the Cowboys maybe they do not have the mentality to avoid miscues.

Gonzalez game against Saints
I was amazed at Ryan's stats against the Saints when they were behind. 147 rating.
How about this. Gonazalez 8 catches for 110 and a td.
7 of his 8 catches were for first down. Ouch.

McNabb is out and Vick is in.
McNabb lobbied Reid to sign Vick and it created the surplus to let him go.
He then taught Vick the offense and mentored him in the media.
Now McNabb is on a bad team and Vick is looking like a hero.
McNabb truly was a great QB in Philly, it is ashamed that this happened.

I was sad to see that he had passed away.
Hall of Famer-Blanda is an old Alabama Grad. 6 foot 2 and 215-225lbs.
I used to love to watch Blanda relieve Lamonica in the last 60's 70's.
He would come in and lead comebacks time after time.
I never disliked the Raiders and respected what they did. I could never pull for them over a NFC team, but I always pulled for them over the Dolphins and Steelers.
He looked like he was approaching 60 when he was still playing.

Dallas Win
I am sorry, but I am not sold on the Cowboys yet.
This is a repeat of last year and a team that makes so many mental errors that I nearly go crazy.
Can Columbo be that good, Romo was still scampering, but he had time and that monster Williams was incognito.
Marion Barber..Why? I still do not understand.
17 carries 55 yards...3.2 yds per carry.
Last year...4.4..2008 3.7
Jones.- 6.2 last 3 years. He has 22 carries this year 4.0. and 4 receptions. 6 yards a carry yesterday.
Roy Williams- Did something change or did Red Jesus finally find a way for him to get into position to catch on a run?

Saints Fans Have Gone Ballistic
Garrett Hartley may want to go home to Keller sooner than expected.
He is 4 for 7 on the year and the fanatics are ready to run him out of town.
Maybe they are correct, but this guy put them in the Super Bowl.
Bueller at Dallas is 4/6, but cost the Cowboys 2 games or at least a good chance to win two games. Hartley made 84% last year.
I posted this for RJR, because he is a bit upset with the lack of loyality from the Saints trackers.
They should be more concerned with Matt Ryan completing 15/18 when the Saints had a lead.
Throw in the fact that the Falcons had 200 yard rushing and 45 minutes time of possession and it makes you wonder what defenses have changed to slow down the high powered Payton offense and its ability to control the ball.

I guess Les Miles will dispute this comment, but he figured out LSU in one night.
Despite LSU's offensive ineptitude and spate of penalties, West Virginia never get closer than three points in the second half. And with two missed field goals, the 20-14 loss hurts even more.
There was no shame in the performance in one of the most notoriously difficult environments in sports. But West Virginia had an opportunity for a signature win here and came up short.
