You may have seen this story floating around in newspapers and various websites. College football's chief scumbag Bobby Petrino pulled a long-standing scholarship offer from a kid in South Carolina just 2 days before signing day. I happen to have seen this kid, Matt Colburn, because he played Allen this past season and as he was piling up 250 yards I pulled him up on Rivals and noted that he was committed to Louisville, back in September of 2014. Then, after all these months, he finds out 2 days before signing day that Louisville is overbooked and doesn't have a place for him.
I am truly amazed that this sleazeball Petrino continues to get to ply his lack of morals in a major position. Let's recap: pursued and interviewed for a job that was not vacant (Auburn), left the Falcons during the season for another job, put his mistress on the payroll at Arkansas, and still he rolls on. How could you let your kid go to a place where this guy is in charge? I've got to think at some point his lack of character and integrity will start to impact his credibility with recruits, coaches, AD's, etc. Everyone wants to win, but do want this baggage at your school?
