Bryson DeChambeau - Did the PGA make the Hole Bigger.

DeChambeau now has 5 wins on tour and 4 in 2018.
The equals Brooks Koepka and is one more than Fowler.

It is so funny to watch the Golf media guys be amazed in his play after having made fun of DeChambeau for trying something different.

Not only did he change drivers this month going with the new Cobra King F9, he caused a stir with his statement about leaving the pin in the hole.   The Driver was around the same time that Jordan went the new Titlest TS2 at 10.5 Degrees ( He was still using 2014 Tech in the 915 driver)

Back to the rule changing in 2019.  You do not have to remove the pin anymore.

Someone asked Bryson are you going to use the rule change?

“Oh, absolutely,” he said, grinning. “The USGA’s gonna have to go back on that one. Like, ‘No! We made the hole bigger!'”

“It depends on the COR, the coefficient of restitution of the flagstick,” he said. “In U.S. Opens, I’ll take it out, and every other Tour event, when it’s fiberglass, I’ll leave it in and bounce that ball against the flagstick if I need to.”
“It’s a higher propensity for it to go in the hole if it’s fiberglass compared to metal,”

Dave Pelz, I believe had published something years ago that the pin being in on chip shops increased percentages up to 33%.

The next headline will be from the golf establishment.
The old school golfers will start crying about Bryson no living up "the intent of the rule" as soon as he wins with a big putt banging of the Pin.

I love this guy.
