I am impressed with the Detroit group signing Fielder.
He would have been my first signing in Texas, if for no other reason than I fear all young unproven pitchers.
Cabrera is money, and now the line-up is truly deadly.

I think Rangers were in the running, but 9 years for an overweight DH? He's really good but having that $23mm per year albatross on the franchise for the back half of the contract will likely be a major drag.

I am with Scott. He is great now but I did not want them to mortgage the future. Remember Arod.The Rangers do not need a bat and Prince is not a gold glove at first
