The last time I counted LA had about 427 High Schools with around 110 Private Schools with over 100 students.
Louisiana has the 3rd highest Private School enrollment in the US. (Hawaii and Delaware lead)
It is a little less than 20% of total Student Population.

You know how much I hate that intermingling of private and public. Only 2 private schools in the state of TX have waivers to play in the UIL: the 2 Jesuit schools, one in Dallas, one in Houston. No matter how you spin it, the playing field is not level.
