Deron Williams and the Jazz.

How easily a perception of a player can change. My favorite point guard for the last 4 years has been sent to Never-Never land in Jersey.  Deron Williams conflict with the Jazz finally led to a amazing trade.

This entire story of his attitude and controversy has caught me off guard.
Deron Williams 17pt and 9.12 assist for career assist only behind Paul (9.9) and Kidd (9.16)for his career, but has outplayed both of them head to head during the last 6 years and his defensive ability allows him to shut down players on the perimeter and the other two cannot.

Utah made out like bandits in the trade for a player they would likely have lost next year anyway.
The Jazz will get New Jersey's first-round pick this year, which is not lottery protected, and Golden State's first-round pick, which is partially protected, next year.

As a positive sidebar, Devin Harris gets away from Avery Johnson again.  We can laugh about Johnson handling of Harris while in Dallas and the lack of development he produced, as Harris became an all around player in New Jersey.
