Alabama Ugliness

I get a kick listening to the Paul Finebaum show and hearing the Alabama and Auburn fans go at it every day.  But, I cringe when the fanatics call in in their deep southern twang and can only imagine what the fans outside of Alabama think.  But it got really ugly this week when it was discovered that an Alabama fan applied a deadly herbicide to 2 130-year old oak trees in Auburn where the Tiger fans gather to celebrate big wins, including the championship on Jan 10.  A radio caller who identified himself as "Al from Dadeville" took credit for the act.  Authorities said the trees will not survive and the hunt is on for Al.  This is why the south is looked at in ridicule.  A sad commentary about college athletics.
