This year marks the 25th anniversary of most golf fans' favorite memory; Jack Nicklaus' most unlikely and last major win at the Masters. Lee Trevino related his memory of leaving the course, driving to Atlanta to catch a plane, and sitting in the airport with hundreds of screaming fans as they watched it unfold.
Some great facts to recall: Jack shot 30 on the back nine and played the final 10 holes in 7 under par. He bested a field that included 6 hall of famers in addition to himself (Norman, Kite, Ballesteros, Watson, Langer, and Price). He opened with a 74 and trailed Norman by 4 shots going into Sunday. Finally, the tournament summarized Greg Norman: going to 18 needing par to force a playoff and birdie to win, he bogeyed.
