Stoops Brothers Take a Beating

Let it be recorded that those defensive guru's, the Stoops brothers, had 30 days to prepare for Mr. Johnny Football, and here is what they got for their efforts:

22 of 34 passing for 287 yards and 2 TD's
17 rushes for 229 yards and 2 TD's
A Cotton Bowl record 516 yards of total offense by Football, Johnny
600 yards of offense by the A&M juggernaught

All kidding aside, he is a treat to watch.  Hard to compare to anyone.  Here is a quote from Bob Stoops, sounding like a man who had no answers:

"If you've got an angle on him, he stops and runs the other way.  If you don't, he outruns you.  Even when guys are in position, he is so quick and strong....he's just hard to get to."  Watching Stoops x 2 on the sidelines yelling at each other as Manziel made a fool of them was just priceless.

It's so uncanny to see a 6-0 freshman do this stuff to major coaches and teams that it almost has the makings of a Greek tragedy to me.  I could see Manziel getting hurt and what will be left is the legend of Johnny Football who took the game by storm for one season and left us wanting more, never to be heard from again.

And, here goes A&M looking at a top 5 pre-season ranking next year.  Amazing.
