It is really hard to accept this, but if the Ranger hitters get hot in a playoff series they can win.
An Ace like Lee can literally win 2 games in the first and 3 in the second series with the right weather conditions.
Giving up mainly two years top draft picks like Smoak and Beavan is hard to swallow, but come on they have never won anything. Beside Washington immediately cut down Smoak with his comments on the improved Defense with Davis. Maybe Hurdle can fix his swing and Lobo Davis will hit 280. He has the power, but the defense is more important with this line-up.
Beavan is a hit, but they signed LEE.
Throw in the fact, that Harden is set to return before long.
Suddenly the 4th lowest era in the AL has added two pitchers better than the 5 they are throwing now.
Now they just have to make the playoffs.
