NFL Combine - Quick Thoughts.

Did you ever expect that Suh would not be the first DL taken. Now, they say that McCoy, in the same conference, is more talented. Crazy stuff.

Clemson again proved that they are loaded with speed. Ford and Spiller were fast and faster.
Ford was the fastest at 4.28 and Spiller at 4.37 was forth. Spiller actually ran a 4.28 also but was ruled to have moved incorrectly. Holiday ran a 4.34. Best 4.35.
Little wonder the ACC is closest to the SEC in talent playing in the NFL.

Tebow proved that he is a specimen, he had the highest vertical ever for a QB at 38.5.
Third best overall time in the 3 cone at 6.66. (Trindon Holliday and a WR from Louisiville bested him.) His 40 at 4.72 was considered good. McCoy at 4.79 was also good.
Vince Young 4.58 vertical 30.5 , Pat White 4.55. McNabb 4.64 vertical 33.

With a 4.54 forty Anthony Dixon, MSTATE, again proved he is a load with talent. 6'1 233 and power. Spiller, Best, Dixon to me seem the best. Gerhart showed well at 4.53, but not the 4.4 coming out of Calf. Dixon also scored high in explosion of vertical and broad jump. Top 3 in both.
McCluster ran 4.58 and Dixon beat him in most drills.

I look forward to August football.
