NCAA gives out Academic Penalties.

UConn basketball is the only big school on the list.  I must admit I was not suprised with Calhoun's group being hit.

The part that was more disappointing is that 3 teams from Louisiana were on the list of 6.
Southern, Grambling and UL Monroe all had there basketball programs hit.
The other basketball teams were, Cal State-Northridge, Chicago State.
The football teams at Idaho State and Jackson State.

Southern was the only school hit in football and basketball.   Ridiculous considering how much money is poured into Southern by the state.  Southern is the first school to receive a post season ban for this standard.

For the record USC Basketball was next to get hit.
Colorado was the only BCS football school that was below the bottom target in both major sports.
