Somewhere I heard or saw that of the last 10 major championships only 1 winner was ranked in the top 10 in the world at the time of the win. (That was Phil at the 2010 Masters. )
So, lets start our list of favorites outside the top 10:
Americans=Dustin Johnson, Nick Watney. Bubba Watson. Hunter Mahan, Toms, Furyk
and Lucas Glover.
You have to figure KJ Choi will be steady through out.
We are missing the Euro's on my list, so I will go with Martin Laird and
to call attention the Spanish Wonder Boy 18 year old Matteo Manaserro.
He lacks power, but just knows how to score. He already has two wins on the European tour.
I might touch on the top 10 on Thursday.
