I spent a lot of time around young kids and I amazed at the respect they give Vick as a QB.
So, I thought a comparison in the careers was appropriate.

Romo 74 games 458 rushing 4 TDs. Sacks 138 849 Sack Yards. (18 Lost Fumbles.)

I think it goes to the fact that 99% of NFL QB's are clones of each other. Vick is far from the best QB in the league, but he is the most exciting and fans gravitate toward someone who is different from what they see in every other game. The older the league gets and the more money they make, the less chance there is that anyone will try something different.
