Top 10 Rankings.

1. Florida- History says Meyers plays it close to the vest on offense in the SEC games. They will score enough to beat everyone.
2. Alabama- What would LSU do with Saban's strength and conditioning? It is good to have the Tide back in power.
3. Texas- I worry that the defense will fold when the powerful teams in SEC
wear them down in the 2nd half and lose by two tds. They will have to prove it before I believe it.
4. TCU- Good Story, but number 4? 7-5 in the SEC, maybe. They make purple uniforms look good.
5. Cincinnati- I would like to seem them play TCU.
6. Boise State- They played TCU last year and were manhandled. How weak is Oregon? and USC?
7. Ga Tech- A weak LSU teams wins 38-3 in Altanta.
8. Pittsburg- I give them a break from critism since they put Weiss on the hot seat.
9. Ohio State- How did this team get ahead of a team that lost to Fl and AL.
10. LSU- Crowton and Miles need to part ways. Ole Miss seems to have found an offense so it could be a long day for Miles, aka. Wade Phillips Jr.

How irritating is it to listen to talk show host from the east and west coast complain about the lower ranked teams in the SEC being inferior to the middle of the Big 10, PAC 10 and Big 12.
Do they think that the athletes at Mississippi State are in the NFL for their looks?

The bowls are shaping up to be crap. Ohio St/Oregon? A Rose Bowl where both teams have 2 losses? Ga Tech or Clemson vs Cincinnati in the Orange? Nothing more needs to be said about that. I hope they don’t make TCU face the Tide in the Sugar. Although I’m not convinced that FL takes them out again just yet. And who else fills up the BCS slots? Boise I guess. And then Iowa? Pitt? OK St.? Pathetic!

Two things I took away from the TCU/Utah game: the frog offense is better than I thought, and overall they really look small. I think Patterson decided the way to conquer the Mountain West was to overwhelm the rest of them athletically, which it appears he can do with these 3-star Texas kids. But they have no size as far as I can tell. Dalton is not bad and he’s got one more year.

I think it’s time to pull the plug on Todd Dodge. Horrible job by him. SMU feels they are ahead of schedule in Jones’ 2nd year. Everyone seems settled on Brian Kelly to replace Weiss but I wonder if it’s too obvious? They’re going to eventually get the right person. As Bill King pointed out, it took OK, TX, USC, AL and others a long time to find the right person, but they started winning again when they found the right coach, and ND probably will too.
