My initial thoughts on Adrian Beltre signing with Texas: he's only had a couple of really impressive offensive years, both during contract years, and he's prone to throwing in some .260 seasons regularly; his defense is considered top of the heap and he will be a big upgrade there over Young; as for Michael, he is an incredibly class act stepping aside yet again for the good of the team. All in all, Beltre should replace Guerrero's numbers or close, and he will make the defense much better.
