Padraig Harrington's disqualification this week brought the whiners out of the wood work again.
Many of the TV commentators and some players think it is wrong for a veiwer to see a penalty and be able to report the issue to have the situation corrected.
Why?
First off, there is no way Harrington didn't know he hit the ball with his hand.
Secondly, these golfers have to know the rules and have no excuses for these mistakes.
Thirdly, does anyone really think it would be better if someone won the Masters and cheated?
When golfers like Ian Poulter complain and then TV personalities like Wilbon PTI spend time calling the viewers that report the violation DOPES it makes me want to puke as a regular Golf Viewer. They still do not understand the spirit of the game nor what it represents.

I have to disagree. If the players and officials do not notice the violation, then it's missed. I'm not on board with anyone and everyone from outside the competition calling or texting to police possible violations.
