The story of 18 year old Bryce Harper's power and talent has been well documented through his teen years.
During his first year in A ball, we get an utterly ridiculous story.
A few weeks ago Harper had his eyes checked. The doctor tells him " you have the worst eyes I have ever seen."
Contacts and eye training sessions started.
10 games since contacts, he is batting .480, 7 Hr 23 RBI's Slugging % 893. OB 547.
For the year he is hitting393/473/702.
Harper's comment- Its like seeing in HD.
He evidently was given contacts in High School and they gave him headaches, so he didn't wear them.

This guy is like the Lebron of baseball; the chosen one, the can't miss freak of nature. It will be interesting to watch.
I heard Steve Phillips on Mad Dog this week talking about another phenom, Greg Jefferies, who Phillips played with and I got to see play live in Double A.
Phillips said Jefferies was spoiled and immature and blamed his parents for much of why he didn't realize his potential in the majors.
