Ranking of College Football Coaches. Guess who is number 1..

Scout.com has a ranking of coaches for this year.
1. Saban
2. Stoops
3 JIMBO FISHER -  Wow.
4. Gary Patterson
5. Mack Brown
6. Chip Kelley
7. Petrino
8. Peterson
9. Les Miles
10.Mendenhall-BYU?
11. Pelini
12 Tressel

Ok, I admit shock at some of these picks.
My top 6.
1. Saban
2. 3 way Tie- Tressel-Stoops-Brown  -------- Can anyone really separate these 3?
4. Ferentz- I would like to see him with the athletes.
5. Beamer- He is not a Bobby Bowden, but he wins.  We can call him a Mini-Bowden.

Do you know how hard it is not to put Miles in the top two with Carroll and Meyer out of the game?

Seriously, Miles has a title and continues to load up on talent and win in a murderous conference.
Throw in the fact that his current team is going to be better than Stoops, Tressel and Brown and it confuses my brain why I hate watching him coach.
But then I remember his interviews and sideline coaching.
He is a buffoon!

Kelley is too new but climbing up quickly.  NCAA probation may get him and Peterson.
Patterson and Peterson have to play the big athletic teams week in and week out to get on my list.
I also like the ND coach a ton.
Jimbo did a great job, so maybe he will get there in a couple of years.
Auburn's new coach will have to prove it without the Offensive Brain Child on the sideline.

Petrino actually deserves a place in my top 5.
If he gets a defense I will put him at two unless Miles wins another title.

Saban and then a large gap. I agree with the Stoops/Brown/Tressel
Jimbo?? One mediocre season at FL State- Not top 10. Pelini- no Both may get there but not yet.

Ferentz (I would pay hom stupid money to come to LSU) and Beamer should be in the mix. Petrino and yes the Hat as well (bottom 10 though).
