Tom Verducci of SI was on Mad Dog today talking about the upcoming season. He believes that the best 6 teams in baseball reside in the AL. The NL lost Fielder and Pujols this off-season. They have the star power and deeper rosters. I probably agree with the assessment, but it's funny to think about pitchers like Kershaw, Lee, Halladay, and Lincecum residing in the NL; they just don't have great teams around them. I'm ready for some boxscores!

It is an interesting argument he has, but when you throw the Giants Title in with the Cards it is hard to accept the AL.
The Giants didn't have the star power.
I am still in shock that the Phillies aren't considered the favorite as you mentioned.
