Some Old-Time Baseball

You may have seen the results of the late SF/Philly game last night.  Matt Cain and Cliff Lee played dueling zero's into the 10th inning.  Cain allowed 3 baserunners in 9 innings, threw 91 pitches and 64 strikes.  Lee allowed 7 baserunners through 10 innings and threw an astounding 81 strikes out of 102 pitches.  After 9 innings, the game time was 1 hr 50 min and they clipped through 11 full innings in under 2.5 hours.  That's the kind of baseball you rarely see but used to be common.  I hate that I missed it.  Let's hear it for pitcher's duels and pitchers who throw strikes!
