As TCU prepares for the Ponies this weekend, some Frog numbers for you to digest. Since the demise of the SWC after the '95 season, the Frogs are 118-54 and 108-37 since Dennis Franchione took over in 1998. This includes a 7-4 bowl record since '98, 7 appearances in the final AP poll, and 5 conference championships. They have 13 players on NFL rosters and have had 5 1st-team AP All-Americans since 2000. When they appeared in the final AP poll in 2000, it was the first time since 1959. Suffice to say that Franchione was a pretty good hire since it also brought Patterson on board.

Jones is closing the gap. Ponies moved the ball and played really hard, killed by a long kickoff return and 2 interceptions deep in their end. Despite another win, if I'm Patterson I lose some sleep because I can see Jones creeping up. They are going to fight for the same players; I can see it getting interesting in the years to come.
