If something happens after a player's career it should not cause them to be removed or kept out of the Hall of Fame.
Lawrence Taylor, Pete Rose, Bob Hayes, Billy Cannon.
Put them in and document whatever you want of the extra life situations. Rose, Taylor.
Now, this does not apply to the Steroids taken during a career. Bonds, McGuire, Sosa out.

I've always agreed with this position. However it does beg the question, do you want someone who has been proven to be a rapist or even murderer in your HOF? Does there have to be a line somewhere?
