Ole Miss - SEC thoughts.

How do you lose to Vandy at Home. The Grove must be going NUTTS, literally.

The hoodlum QB seems to think he is a one man band. He is too inaccurate and seems to pull the ball out of the RB's hands to late on the option plays. It looks like the offense that Arkansas had the year before his embarrassing departure.

Arkansas almost blew the game today against Ga. They fell asleep half way thru the 3rd quarter. I wanted to mention the QB for Ga arm strength on the last play Hail Mary.
He threw it 67 yards in the air and it was 9 feet up in the year at 67 yards. Impressive.
GA looks terrible, 0-2 in the SEC.

Mullens departure at Fla is really something else. Meyer seems to have lost his imagination with the gators. 0 points in 1st against TN. Is it possible that Tebow was better than we thought and the scheme is just that outdated? I am in shock. His offenses at Bowling Green and Utah were imaginative and fun, the Gators are hard to watch.

Now, I get to go watch La Tech vs Navy. I am afraid that Tech may not score with the QB ferris wheel in Ruston. Navy handled them pretty easily last year, maybe the 100 plus heat on the field will hurt them. I doubt it with Navy controlling the ball with the option.

I will listen to LSU and watch it later. It maybe a bloodbath with 22 punts.

You know, we've seen it before where an innovative coach at a smaller school or an offensive coordinator with a great rep gets a head gig at a big school, and they lose the qualities that made them get noticed. They start to play it safe with all the talent they have and before long their offense looks like FL does right now. Remember Bowden's earlier teams? Meyer is a CEO now and it seems his days as an innovative coach may be history.
