Guess what? A power hitter can get out of the rough better and is used to it in 3rd round fiasco.
The only good group that lost was Phil and Fowler. But they played the hot Poulter and Kaymer. Crazy.

I do realize I have only been captain at a small club 3 times in this type of competition,but there is some strategy you have to expect.
If have to prepare for the incredible pressue at the end.

Rickie Fowler vs. Edoardo Molinari;
Phil Mickelson vs. Peter Hanson;

Lets assume some of the US players are not major final's proven winners.
That leaves these people to place at the end. Some need to be at the front but Pavin did not load the pressure slots.

Fowler Superstar in match play, Overton, Johnson who knows what will happen if he learns.
Two of these have to be in final two groups.
Huge Mistake.
Why would Woods and Phil not be leading off or ending it.
As for overall scoring. Forget it, It is who you play.
Woods was 3-1 and blown out when the only time he played one of the top players.
Westwood, Kaymer,Poulter and Donald
Overall hated the group pairings in alternate shop...Hated it.
Singles. Well the pressure made a player that has never won big fold and cry.

When I saw the lineups I thought we were in for a whuppin'. But, we made it closer than I thought. Tough year for us with Woods and Phil not in top form, and several young players not yet ready for prime time. I just pray these youngsters learn how to win and not just be content to make money.
