Steve Spurrier One Liners, Miles is in his cross hairs

The crucifixion continues on Miles and other coaches are jumping on board.

Seeing Spurrier's quote this week reminded me why people hate him so much.
Tuesday he says this: "Sometimes you can win and still be a dummy, we've learned that recently, too." He smiled afterwards, and never directly said he meant Miles.

There are numerous quotes from around the country, but I want to laugh with Spurrier.

Quotes.
1. After NCAA violation for getting free shoes at Florida State, He goes to national media saying FSU stands "Free Shoes University"

2. Before Tennessee Florida game to play in Sugar or Citrus bowl.
He says "you can spell Citrus without UT"

3. After Auburn football dorm catches fire and books during LSU game.
"But the real tragedy was that fifteen hadn't been colored yet!"

4. After signing a kid from Alabama at South Carolina
"In 12 years at Florida, I don't think we ever signed a kid from the state of Alabama"; But then he immediately added the punch: "Of course, we found out later that the scholarships they were giving out at Alabama were worth a whole lot more than ours." Reference to NCAA recruiting violations.

5.Asked about Peyton Manning returning for his Senior Year.
"I know why Peyton came back for his senior year: he wanted to be a three-time Citrus Bowl MVP"

6. Asked about Georgia with Florida
"Is Ray Goof still the coach" referring to Goff.

I just love a quick wit.

And for the young folks that do not remember, he won the ACC title at "Duke" before dominating the SEC at Florida. But the job he wanted was the LSU job and he was overlooked. It hurts to think about it.
