Jerry's millionaire buddy made him look bad.

Horse trainer extraordinaire D. Wayne Lukas and Jerry Jones are evidently drinking buddies.
Cowboys Blog-Gerry Fraley is quoting Lucas as saying that Jerry is complaining about the NFL is controlling him from making even more money while trying to protect the poor teams.

His quote:
I talked to Jerry Jones, and he said if the league turned him loose, he'd make so much more money because he could do all kind of innovative things,'' Lukas told the Baltimore Sun. ``But when he gets in the room with other owners, he has to look out for Cleveland. In horse racing, everybody looks out for their own selfish interests. We've got to get under one umbrella.''

Interesting Subject and Jerry will probably get fined even though he still supports revenue.
Not allowing Jerry and Snyder to make more money is almost un-American.
We would be able to get rid of the teams that are a drain on tax payers in states that need money. (New Orleans and Cleveland to name just two disgusting situations.)

Even though I am a Cowboys fan and realize Jerry is right on this subject. I do not want the change

I rue the day that the NFL turns into MLB with the haves and have nots.

"Laisez Faire" and John Smith, I agree with the principles from a macro perspective, but the NFL itself (a single company)would be stupid to do it-- Baseball is a great example. Look at the 2 sports over the past 20 or 30 years. The NFL is significanlty larger. One large reason is the marketing and management of the sport. It reaches every part of the US. Green Bay and N.O. have the same chance to win as a team from NY, Boston, or Chicago. In Baseball- the majority of the population could not care. The old fans and those passionate about the sport still do, but the average person sitting in KC, MO does not. However that person does believe the Chiefs will get better and have a chance. I am a great example- I do not care at all who wins or loses in baseball, but for 30 years I believed the Saints could one day win. My team finally won it all. Do you think the Pirates, Mariners, Reds, or Royals ever will? The big winner if the NFL changed would be college football--- I think it would blow up with additional interest. It seems Lucas is hoping for something like the NFL operating structure in horse racing. One can not argue this organizational structure works for a sports company, which is all the NFL is. The NFL is best at running its organization for the growth of the entire company and not just 2 or 3 franchises. Subway and McDonalds do the same thing.
