Phil Jackson

I go back and forth in my head about Phil Jackson. While it's true that he's had massive talent to work with, I think it's a cop out to dismiss him. In fact, I'm kind of at a point where I give him a ton of credit for molding huge ego's into functional units that maximize what they've got. Despite the oversize personalities he deals with, he seems to actually be in charge, and I don't think that fact can be underestimated. If I had assembled a roster full of talent, who else would you rather put in charge of it? And, I also think he because of his psychological bent, his actual coaching gets underplayed. All in all, I think he is just really, really good at what he does.
