Athlete of the Decade

With Tiger winning AP athlete of the decade, I thought I would pay homage to his excellence.
1. He won 1/3 of the events he entered.
2. $81,547,410 won in decade
3. 12 Majors only(14 in career.) Nobody in history has more than 11 except Jack at 18 he won 8 in 70's.
4. 64 tournaments around the world. 56 with the big boys.

Second in the voting was Armstrong
He doesn't get anything from me other than than he should not be on this list.
6 titles and a lot of denials and saying it wasn't his blood that was tested.

Third Federer
1. Won 81% of matches in Grand Slams during decade. 61 tournaments since 2003.
2. All time money winner, just during decade.
3. 15 Grand Slams All time record, during decade.
4. Record at the past 26 Grand Slam events is 159-11, a .935 winning percentage

Phelps was Forth.
1. 14 gold medals is ridiculous. Historically this is insane. 16 total medals.
2. 37 World Records.

Brady Fifth.
Are you kidding me?
This made me pull the Manning vs Brady data.
With injuries Brady has played 8 Manning 10. Jacksonville game not included.
Decade Stats. I will give Brady some wins when he didnt play.

Manng: Wins 114 41659yd %65.87 TD 310 Int 136 QB rating 98.47
Brady: Wins 110 30276yd %63.25 TD 220 Int 97 QB rating 92.93

^Manning attempts 19 more passes a year during this time.
Brady is 14-2 in playoffs, Manning 7-7. After hearing the Cowboys talk about how disconcerting it was hearing San Diego call out their defenses last week, you get an understanding for how the cheating in New England contributed to the 3 superbowls.

I would vote Federer No.1, 2. Phelps 3. Woods on athlete of the decade.
They were all amazing.
The AP vote has been Americanized.

You can't OK Tiger being on the list, but knock out Armstrong. They are both cheaters in your eyes. If you're going to discount people who you believe cheat, with only visual/circumstantial evidence, then you have to be consistent. That means Tiger, Lance, Pujols cannot be in any list you have about great players in any sport.
