The QB competition Romo Brees

Romo: Isn't it funny to hear people talk about how special Romo played last night.
If you check the numbers, he has had many more games like last night, than the catastrophe's he is famous for. His numbers in 2009 are like his career numbers with two exceptions.

1. Sacks-He is getting sacked much more this year.
2. Int are down to 1.5% of attempt from a career number around 3.0%.

Moral of the story, he is truly not trying the miracle pass as often now and thus the increase in sacks.

For the record his career QB rating 95.6 is ahead of Brady 93.2, Big Ben91.6, Brees91.7,Favre 86.3,and Warner93.7. Manning at 98.47.

Brees:
I love how he gets the ball off so quickly. The Saints O line was having serious problems with Wade's D. Brees is definitely not used to be rushed to that extent. As a matter of fact, his passes became off line when his esacape route was lateral and not forward. Ratlif pushing the pocket into a collapse in the middle may have been more important than anyone expected.

On a another usless thought, I see Brees had the birthmark removed from his face.
When I first saw the wound on his cheek, I did not put it together.

We live in such a knee-jerk world; everyone loves to jump on the next band-wagon. Love Tony, hate Tony. Pro-bowler one day, need to cut him the next. I'm convinced he's a really good player, maybe not great, but possibly. If he really gets past those bonehead plays he's prone to, he can definately lead a team to playoff wins and maybe further. He's getting there in my mind.
