Jerry the GM

Jerry was asked why Barber is still getting carries over Choice.
Felix has passed him after a wasted 3 years of his talent and now the media is on the prowl fpr Barber to moved to 3rd option.  I will not get into Felix and his weight gain hurting his ability to make people miss.

"First of all, Tashard needs to be a better special teams player," Jones said on his twice-a-week radio show on KRLD-FM. "Your third back has to be a real contributor on special teams and he’s not. That really handicaps him."

Jerry is still trying to live down another bad decision on not trading Barber 3 years ago and signing him to long term deal.

Stats:
Barber-3.7 yds , 4.4 yds and 3.1 yds  17 tds in 3 years.
Jones- 8.9 yds,  5.9 yds and 4.0 yds
Choice- 5.1 yds, 5.5 and 2.7 this year but with only 14 carries.

Seriously, he judges a running back by his special teams play?
Heck Barber is too slow to play Special Teams.  Maybe inside LB?  Oh wait he is smaller than Felix Jones so he cannot do that either.

Ridiculous decisions in Cowboy Camp.

Here is an article on the subject.  I still can't believe he gets the majority of playing time.

J

Comments from Jonathan:
JJs loyalty enables him to keep any player he wants to and get most players he may want, but this would be the downside of that loyalty.

Watching the game on Thursday- Felix Jones was by far the best back. Not to say he can handle it all but I agree the Barbarian is the 3 best option.

JJ is delusional on the Special Teams comment- Choice can carry for 5-10 and still play spec teams. - Heck the Saints are on 3rd and 4th string backs right now (one was not even with the team at the close of camp)
