Dale Earnhardt Jr just won his 8th straight most popular driver award???????????
He has 18 wins in 12 years. .He has not won in 2 years and has 1 win in 4 years.
He had 6 of his total in 2004, which suggest his car must have been much much better than the other drivers that year to overcome his obvious lack of a special skill. He has no real history of success.
Add this award to the fact that NASCAR fans and racing public relations espouse crap about his father greatness, without ripping his legacy by discussing his cheating and life threatening habit wrecking people intentionally is sickening.
Two Facts:
Jeff Gordon has surpassed Dale Sr in wins 83 to 76 in less years. NASCAR Fan's Not most popular.
Jimmy Johnson is better than Jr and has 53 wins to 18 and is one year younger. - Not most popular. ?
