Our dream matchup was dashed when unheralded Pearland upset Katy 38-35. Pearland is undefeated and I think was one of the teams disparaged by that blowhard on Rivals. The town is a southern suburb of Houston. Stony Point smashed Desoto and will face Trinity next.
Guyer will face Longview in Div II; which is a 3rd shot for Guyer after being beaten by Longview in each of the previous 2 years in the 4A playoffs. Both moved up this year and play yet again. I'm hoping that the winner will face Steele High from Cibolo because Steele features the nation's top RB Malcolm Brown, committed to the 'horns.
Still have hope for my wished for 4A final of Denton Ryan and Lake Travis; both made the semi's.
