I was on record as being against the Lee trade, but changed my mind during the playoff run. Along with Nolan Ryan, Lee brought credibility to a franchise that had none. However I never seriously thought he would sign here. This is a football market and a baseball franchise utterly devoid of tradition. With no connection to TX there was little chance. Going to a market where baseball matters and playing for an organization with some history and a chance to win championships in the short term were obviously strong factors. I don't blame him for a second and I'll continue to enjoy watching him. Now, what decisions will the Rangers make for their staff?
