"Stevan Ridley is currently in an academic issue and may not be eligible to play in this game," LSU coach Les Miles said after a practice Wednesday morning. "We are appealing as an NCAA issue, and we're very hopeful. He has been in no off the field issues in any way. Ridley has been compliant. We just need to make our case. Without being terribly revealing, it's a fundamental process that goes on at a great school, and it has run afoul of an NCAA issue. It's a one-time nothing."
Today, Ridley was ruled ineligible.
