Trinity scored from 2 yards out on the final play of the game to edge Coppell 41-40 tonight. They trailed the entire night, never leading until the final play. Here are the progression of scores: Coppell led 3-0, 10-0, 13-0, 13-7, 16-7, 16-14, 23-14, 23-21, 30-21 (half), 30-28, 37-28, 37-35, and finally 40-35 before surrendering the final TD to lose it by 1. Trinity has now defeated 3 consecutive north TX district champions and will wait for the Stony Point/DeSoto winner in the semi's. The radio guys are calling it an all-time classic. The Trojans are certainly earning this one.........

I just viewed the boxscore. Coppell threw for 392 but Trinity ran for 407. Coppell had the top ranked defense in the area by a significant margin but allowed 7.8 yds/carry tonight on 53 rushes. Like I said a couple of weeks ago, wait until you see the O-line for Trinity, they are massive.

I wish I could have seen that game.
Tonight Longview and Mesquite Horn are in town and I think I will go watch them.
