La State Champions.

1.  West Monroe lost to Acadiana.  That old style offensive coaching is costing them games at West Monroe. 21-14.   Acadiana out played the Rebels. That is why I never preached them as a top 10 team in the nation. They beat small teams down.
2. Evangel- Beat John Curtis again.  Same type of problem at JC on offense.
Evangel had the ball the entire game and double the offensive totals.
The only score JC had was a 85 kickoff return until the end of the 3rd.
3.  Franklinton won 4a in overtime over Karr.    Passing offense in Karr vs athletes and balance..
I would have loved to see Haughton play Karr.   Franklinton beat the Bucs with that running game.

I am looking forward to the Tx State Championships.

The subject of the "old school offensive coaching" is fascinating to me. While you can cite many examples of the new offenses taking over, going back to Ennis, Southlake, Evangel, etc.; you can also find a guy like Lineweaver at Trinity who is winning and winning big with an old offensive philosophy. Trinity is facing top flight programs and rushing for around 400 yards per game in these playoffs. A possible 4th state title in 6 years is one game away, so I tend to think that it is still about talent and coaching, regardless of philosophy.
