Carroll and Peers vs History

Whether we like these coaches or not, these guys have been great.

I only included coaches that won the title, coached most or all of the decade and only used the records at the school they stayed at during the decade.

Carroll
9 years 2001-2009 84% wins
97-19 - 1 Title-2 Title Games
7-2 Bowl Games
7 Pac 10 Titles.

Tressel 9 years 2001-2009 82% wins
94-21 - 1 Title-3 Title Games
5-4 Bowl Games
6 Big 10 Titles

Stoops 11 years 80% wins
117–29 -1 Title-3 title game
5-6 Bowl Games
6 Big 12 Titles.

Brown 12 years 83%
128–27- 1 Title - 2 Title games
8-4 Bowl Games
2 Big 12 Titles

Recent SEC coaches with a National Championship.
Meyer has not been at big school long enough, but he is at 85% in the SEC which is nuts.
Miles 75%, Saban 77%, Fulmer 75%.

As a reminder- During Bowden's 14 years run from 1987-2000 88% with 2 NC's. 11-3 in bowl games.

Here's something that truly caught me off guard, even though I guess I knew it at some point. Mack Brown and Nick Saban are the same age! Looking and watching the 2 of them, you would think Saban is 10 years younger than Mack. It's somehow easy to think that Nick was on the fast track, but he paid his dues. There were a lot of NFL years before Mich St. At 58 years old, he only has 14 years as a head coach in college plus the 2 Dolphin years. If you watch him and listen to him on TV there's no way you think he's more than 45-48 years old. Amazing.
