SEC Bowl Games

Breakdown of the SEC Bowl Games.
(Currently 5-4. 1 to play.
6-4 would be my guess for the final number, but here are the numbers behind the schedule.
=======================================
The premise: The SEC plays higher ranked teams in Bowl Games annually.
=======================================
Team Conf rank----------Team Conf rank

S Carolina (10th)-----------Connecticut (T4th) L
LSU #13 (3rd) ---------------Penn State #11 (T2nd) L
Florida #5 (2nd)------------ Cincinnati #4 (1st) W
Alabama #1 (1st)-------------- Texas #2 (1st) ?
Auburn (9th) ------------------Northwestern #30 (T4th) W

Tennesse #37(T5th) --------------- Va Tech #12 (T2nd) L
Ole Miss #33 (4th)--------------Okla State #21 (T2nd) W
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) SEC is higher ranked in AP Poll in just 2 games. (Ga and AL.)
2) Play 3 conference champions.
3) Played 4 teams that tied for 2nd in conference.
4) Only Georgia played a team with a lower Conference Ranking.

****I used head to head contest to break some tie breakers.

Moral of the story, the SEC plays bowl games against teams that are usually ranked higher in their conference and the polls. This dominant cycle will end one day, but the SEC is still the best top to bottom.

For a point of reference, The Big 12 has won 1 game against a team that finished higher than the Big 12 team in conference in two years. Oklahoma's win over Stanford this year. SEC has 3 this year and 5 last year.
