McGwire

I guess I have become callus to the steroid subject in Baseball.
Out of all of the recent admissions, McGwire is the one I get the least upset with. I know I am a hypocrite, but at least McGwire was a big time home run hitter in college and during his rookie year.
Lets compare the greats early in their career.
HR totals first of 4 years career of top hr hitters (brief call ups not counted in years.)
Bonds 84.
McGwire 153
Aaron 110.
Mays 116
Griffey 87
Sosa 68
Robinson134
Arod 143
Jackson 132
Schmidt 130
Mantle 108
Palmeiro 56
Killebrew 167
Kiner 168
Helton 151
Thome 123
MannyRamirez 107
Williams 127
DiMaggio 137
Pujols 160
Strawberry 108
Rice 132
Bench 113
Belle 136
Colavito 129
E Matthew 153

Bonds, Raffy, Sosa and Griffey do not belong.
(I was shocked to say that about Griffey, but these are the numbers. )
I am starting to wonder about those High School Reports on Arod use.
S, you know what I have always thought about Pujols.

I sometimes forget how great Kiner, Killebrew and Matthews were.

Babe Ruth will be in the next post. He deserves to be alone with the pitching data also.
