Steriod Era

You know my history with baseball. I've always truly loved it. I spent hours and hours as a kid poring over stats, reading histories, playing stratomatic. I cannot find the words to describe how much I despise these pricks who sold their soul and blew a huge hole in the history of baseball. And as much as I hate them, I hate the owners and commisioner just as much. Utter failure on their part to protect the game. Utter failure on the part of the players to act with integrity.

It totally amazes me that as a group baseball fans just want these guys to admit it, so we can forget about it and start idolizing them again. Not me. Count me with those HOF voters who will never forgive or forget. As far as I'm concerned none of them or their deeds exist. You will not hear me mention ARod, Manny, Clemens, Bonds, McGwire, et al in any discussion of great players ever again. They are cheaters. I'll say it again, they are cheaters. Their feats and records should no longer exist. They should never be mentioned with the Ruths, Williams, Musials, etc. It's pure BS that we excuse them because, well we might do the same thing with so much money to be made, right? Cut them some slack, everyone was doing it. Wrong! They cheated, they took the gamble, they made their money, now they want forgiveness and understanding because they got caught. They should get the exact same treatment that Joe Jackson rec'd. Out. Out to never be heard from again. I only wish that the caretakers of the game would act with some backbone. Pathetic, sorry, spineless group that they are, they will just roll on making their money along with the cheaters. They all deserve a special place in hell for what they've done to baseball.

Now that was a rant! And you call me jaded!
That was a nice job reminding me why I despised these guys so much.

By the way, I agree.
