LT let go in San Diego

I cannot really blame the Chargers for the release.
LT is a poster child for RB that lost the ability at 30.
He was my choice for RB of the decade, but should not be considered in the truly great discussions.

A few facts:
A positive side is that he was a better receiver than he will get credit for, 100 recpts in 2003.
He has played 9 years, 4 of those years he produced a pedestrian like average per carry under 4.0. Two times over he went over 5 yds per carry and 3 times over 4yds per carry.

Average production per play, but a touchdown machine. Over 150 td's in the decade.

A more or less typical career for a great RB. I won't put LT among the truly top tier, but I think he was special. He had the home run speed when he was young, quickness, good hands. He had the whole package, but hit the wall like so many at 30. He does belong among the E TX iconic RB's.
