- Auburn/Chizik get my top award. To face off against the Saban juggernaut coming off a Ntl Champ and fight him even in recruiting is an incredible job. According to Rivals, he landed the top player in LA, GA, AR, & MS in addition to the other 12 4/5 star players he got. With 32 commits he rebuilt the program in 1 class. Great, just what we need in the West.
- Lane Kiffin is like Peter Pan or something unnatural. Their avg recruit is 4.2? I guess we'll finally see if he can coach.
- LSU's close was mentioned in several posts today on different sites. I didn't expect it and I'm fairly stunned with all the negative momentum they have in the program. According to Rivals there were 11 4-star players in LA this year and LSU got 7 including 5 of the top 6. Interesting that TCU got the 8th ranked guy from LA.
- Two other guys who did amazing were Dooley and Jimbo Fisher. Dooley because he not only played damage control, but actually converted some guys. Fisher because the pressure to get things turned around there is huge and he made a good start.
- Georgia got killed in state. They have 30 4/5 stars in GA this year and looks like he only landed 6 of them.
- What happened to Ohio St.? They also got killed in state, losing 12 of the 14 elite players there. Wow.
